Marsha has been with the firm since 2007 and completed her training contract under the supervision of founding directors Cate Searle and Fiona Martin.
Fiona Martin, director and head of the employment department, says “Marsha was an outstanding trainee solicitor and we identified right from the start that she would be fast-tracked to directorship. I have no doubt that Marsha will be a great success in her new position and will contribute hugely to the continuing success of the business as well as the important work we do as employment lawyers for employers and employees.”
Marsha says: “I am thrilled to have been given this wonderful opportunity to help in the management of the firm. This is a new and exciting chapter in my career and I look forward to my new management responsibilities as well as continuing to provide high quality legal advice and representation.”
Marsha will be managing the firm’s Croydon office where she is increasingly well known in the local business community. Dealing with contentious and non-contentious issues for employers and employees, Marsha has built a solid reputation for taking on complex discrimination cases. She is also known for her work advising employers and employees on all types of employment law issue, including Compromise Agreements.
Before joining Martin Searle Solicitors Marsha worked as a personal injury and clinical negligence paralegal at a south London law firm. Marsha studied her Legal Practice Course at London College of Law after completing her degree in Law and French Law at London Guildhall University. Marsha is also a fluent French speaker and studied for a year at the Université Jean Moulin 3 in Lyon.
Marsha is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Black Solicitors Network, Sussex and Surrey Law Societies, and the Croydon and London Chambers of Commerce.
