6 Core Business Activities
Membership gives access to a wide range of extraordinarily valuable services, providing opportunities for picking up best practice, making new contacts and accelerating the development of their businesses in a way that is unique to the MDHUB.
1. WORKGROUPS – This is the backbone of the MDHUB. Developed from the academically-proven “action learning” sets. Comprising between 4-6 MDs/CEOS, they provide a regular opportunity for peer to peer debate at agenda free sessions. Identifying strategic issues and opportunities for growth, members often attend up to 2 sessions per month to challenge conventional thinking, work out practical solutions and share ideas.
2. SEMINARS – Exploiting the wealth of experience of the MDHUB’s members aligned to specialist speakers, recent seminars have included sessions on the VC view, incentivising staff and developing a sales process.
3. ANNUAL EVENTS – We hold up to two very large business events with inspirational business speakers during the year at prestigious locations within the county. This is a wonderful opportunity for members to meet up and develop their business thinking.
4. SPOTLIGHT – Providing intensive support for members with particular business issues that are inhibiting their company’s growth.
5. KNOWLEDGE BASE – This enables members to tap into the MDHUB’s huge pool of business experience and talk to other members who have confronted the same or similar issues – the MDHUB’s Knowledge base is invaluable.
6. SHOWCASE – The MDHUB website supports and promotes its member companies, providing profiles, links to their websites and a channel for press releases and published articles. The site is optimised and often returns better search results than members own sites.

Additional Activities
FUTUREHUB - FUTUREHUB has been designed as a result of the feedback from our members. A 12 month programme of development for the future leaders of businesses who are planning their succession. This programme will provide future business leaders with the core competencies of: Company Governance, Strategic Planning, Finance, Operations and People Management.
HUBALPHA - The HUBALPHA programme has been designed for members of businesses that are achieving explosive growth. A 12 month programme that will provide peer group support to develop future strategy, prepare for the next phase of growth, understand future leadership role and thoroughly analyse business, whilst meeting investors and experts on the way.
PEER NETWORKS - Due to demand from members, the powerful peer workgroups are to be extended to other director groups for Finance, HR and Marketing.
MDHUB STRATEGY - Our experienced facilitators will run team and strategy days for MDHUB members.
PRESSURE COOKER – A fantastic opportunity to pitch for investment and test new business ideas in creative and challenging sessions in front of peers and investors and producing by-product opportunities for collaborating on new projects.
BUSINESS FRIENDS – Linking members – on a one to one basis – with others who understand their business and the business environment in which they operate.
